Do you own a Velleman PS3005D Power Supply Unit? - no? ... then you might want to consider it. Here is a very early, very crude project to control this PSU from EasyPIC7.
Note that this is a low quality PSU, but it is very cheap for something that can be controlled from a PIC board.

04 July 2014 display of milliWatts added
22 June 2014 rar file updated - GLCD now shows millivolts and milliamps returned from my PSU. Bodged to work for my PSU that has cross-talk. May not work for yours :(
21 June 2014 new version 2 shows returned messages from PS300D PSU on GLCD. Keep to previous version 1 if you want simple, as version 2 is complicated and buggy.
20 June 2014 Version 1 sends commands only - ignores return text. Nice and simple if you don't need to read current from the PSU.
Please note that PS3005D is a very cheap PSU, not a high quality one. I accept no responsibility if you blow up some treasured bit of equipment when using it.
The code works for my PSU. I cannot guarantee that it will work for yours. There seem to be different versions of PSU and I have no way of knowing if my code works with all versions.
